Učinak budezonida u kombinaciji s formoterolom kao simptomatska terapija u egzacerbaciji astmeEffect of budesonide in combination with formoterol as symptomatic therapy in exacerbations of asthma

Rezultati studije objavljene u Lancetu 2006. godine, autora Rabea i sur., dokazali su da pristup liječenju astme fiksnom kombinacijom budezonid/formoterol (BUD/FORM) Turbuhalerom 160/4,5 μg kao terapijom održavanja kontrole i dodatnim inhalacijama kao simptomatskom terapijom smanjuje rizik egzacerbacija i poboljšava kontrolu astme. Prikazom slučaja bolesnice s alergijskom astmom i čestim egzacerbacijama, pokazano je da je primjenom BUD/FORM-a Turbuhalerom 160/4,5 μg postignuta dobra kontrola bolesti.

The results of the study by Rabe et al., published in the Lancet in 2006, have proven that the approach to treating asthma with a fixed combination of budesonide/formoterol (BUD/FORM) Turbuhaler 160/4,5 μg as a maintenance control therapy, and additional inhalations as symptomatic therapy, reduces the risk of exacerbations and improves asthma control. Through a case report of a patient with allergic asthma and frequent exacerbations it was shown that the application of BUD/FORM Turbuhaler 160/4,5 μg achieved good control of the disease.
